1. Education Centre:
Himad is going to have an Education Centre in District Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Construction work of the centre is
completed. The aim of the centre is to enhance the work that is being done in the villages. In the centre, villagers and representatives of authorities will be offered workshops, seminars and courses in order to work for continuous empowerment and social mobilization.

5. Swaran Jayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojna:
This program is associated by district administration of DRDA department. HIMAD is been implementing this program in 44 villages of 3 blocks under district Chamoli. 46 self help groups are been established in these villages among which most groups are of women. The main motto of the program is to create self help groups and increased their capacity to improve their livelihood. Target groups under this program are BPL families and vulnerable groups.
6. People Action for Child Rights:
This project is supported by CRY (Child Right and You), New Delhi, HIMAD is implementing this project in Three Blocks Karanprayag, Pokhari and Dasoli (10 villages Kunjav, Maikot, Kudav, Rauli, Silangi,Sainj, Moli, Masoli, Salana, Jaurasi) of Chamoli district in different-different cultural and geographical situations. The aim of project is to ensure rights of children by motivating community, coordination with government agencies and advocating for issues related to it. With in the project different social, political, economical and cultural problems are tried to identify with the help of community and children which are directly or indirectly affecting child rights. With the help of target group problems tried to solved. Himad mainly implementing and monitoring the different ages Children’s like 0-5, 5-14, 15-19. And mainly focusing those children which are physically handicapped, SC, ST, Orphan and Backward classes. And about unable and deprived groups mostly Women. Beleiving on education as an prominent issue affecting child right one hand we trying to strengthen local governance for quality of education and other hand advocating issues such as quality education, education to all and common school system.
7. Ajeevika:
Livelihood Improvement project supported by Government of Uttrakhand and IFAD (International fund for Agriculture Development) is being implementing by HIMAD in 18 villages of Ghat Development Block in Chamoli District. The goal of project is to improve the livelihood of vulnerable groups in a sustainable manner through the promotion of improved livelihood opportunities and strengthening local institution that relate to livelihood development.
8. JAGRITI:
Jagriti program is in five different villages (Kalyani, Bainoli, Naini, Chhatoli, Kanoth) of Kranprayag Block. A project to develop community solidarity through forming up groups of people at different ages. And try to make people strengthen and empower on their own issues. This project is supported by ABC-Active Aid, Sweden. The aim of the project is to create a forum for social networking and development of knowledge. The awareness and knowledge of marginalized groups will be raised through workshop, methods, encouragement, information and stimulation. Women and men are encouraged to form self-help groups. Youth and children are encouraged to form “BAL Sabhas” and “Youth Clubs” with their own agendas. The overall aim is to consolidate local democracy and to create a sustainable society from an economical, ecological and gender aware perspective. The inhabitants will acquire knowledge, capability and confidence through participation. The main focus of the program about the children between 6-14, the adolescent 15-21 and all the women and man of the covering villages.
9. Health:
HIMAD is implementing a USAID- IFPS Supported project namely “ASHA Plus” in Karanpryag Block of chamoli District. The Aim of Project is involve innovative ideas in current ASHA Program of GoI under NRHM (National Rural Health Mission) to ensure better health, safe delivery, improvement in maternal and child health status and awaking the community for the family planning, immunization of pregnant women’s and children’s till 0-5. The focus groups under this program are Pregnant women, Children, Married Couples and ASHA’s.
